We have been established throughout New Zealand for over 30 years and we were the first consignment shop New Zealand ever saw!
Hunters and Collectors are always on the hunt for coveted designer items, quality jewellery, and anything rare and exotic. Labels we love include Margiela, Gaultier, Issey Miyake, Chanel, Moschino, YSL, Kenzo, Yohji Yamamoto, Ann Demulemeester, Louis Vuitton, and more.
Naturally, we do still stock a fair amount of modern and retro street and evening wear. Labels we love include Zambesi, Nom-D, Ed Hardy, Levis, Carhartt, Lela Jacobs, Henrik Vibstock, Kowtow, and all quality fur, sheepskin and leather garments.
Most of our clothing is sold on behalf of the owner on a 50/50 basis +15% G.S.T.
On more expensive items commission is negotiable. We will also buy designer items and jewellery for cash but you can expect a lower price for the items than selling it on commission.
All items must be clean and in good repair. We will negotiate and go through your items on the spot, whenever humanly possible, and discuss how much you can expect for items once sold. We will return your items we are not choosing to sell at the same time or will email you right after it has been processed to give you the option to collect within 14 days or donate to charity.
If you are sending stock to us from around New Zealand or Australia, we will email you once the items have arrived and send you an itemised list with the prices you can expect.
House calls can be arranged for jewellery or clothing.
Un-sold items can be collected whenever you like. After 6 months on general stock we will presume you not longer have interest in your un-sold items and they will go to charity. High end items will not get donated and we will always email you to collect, then if we get no reply they will be donated after 1 month.
Items are displayed and sold at original agreed prices for 6 weeks. Items that have not sold will be reduced 25% for another 6 weeks. After being in store for 12 weeks, items will be reduced to 50% of original price. These markdowns ONLY include generic stock – all vintage clothing 1900s–1960s, jewellery, specialty high end, archival or top designer pieces will not be reduced unless discussed with you. Items that are then uncollected 14 weeks after being bought in for sale will be donated to charity unless discussed previously.
You can collect the money immediately once items have been sold. Money is paid through eftpos refund in store or internet banking. If you choose to spend your credit in-store you receive a 10% discount off any item.
It is YOUR responsibility to stay in contact with Hunters and Collectors to see whether items have been sold or not. If we do not hear from you we will assume you have no further interest in your items. By leaving your items with us you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
We will always do our best to care for and sell your items. In the very unlikely event that your item is shoplifted, we will always honour your payout.
